The Deep Foundation Institute Helical Pile and Tieback Committee is currently planning their next Helical Piles – Tiebacks – Anchors Tradeshow and Educational Seminar on May 7-8, 2025, in Durham, Conn. The committee is currently accepting abstracts for indoor presentations and outdoor demonstrations.
Submit abstracts for indoor PowerPoint presentations on the following topics:
- Unique helical pile or anchor use on projects
- Unique design issues or construction site limitations and methods to overcome challenges
- Innovative use of technology or methods in the application of helical piles or anchors
- New applications or research for helical piles or anchors
- Helical pile use challenging sites (loose sands, organics, clays, etc.)
- Case histories documenting production rates, costs, lessons learned, comparisons to other deep foundation or anchor types, or other information useful for expansion of the industry
- Advances in helical materials: grout, piles, equipment, connections, corrosion protection, etc.
- Quality assurance and control
- Adoption of helical elements in building codes and standards
Outdoor demonstrations include a live demonstration or showcase that will be observed by all attendees. Each outdoor demonstration will have one time slot to present their booth. Attendees will also have a chance to visit each booth during exhibit time. There are ten live demonstrations available.
Submit abstracts for outdoor demonstrations on the following topics:
- Unique/creative uses for helical piles
- Advancements in lateral load support for helical piles
- New technology showcases
- Safety and quality control
- Advancements in helical testing procedures
- Diversity of helical applications
- Techniques and advancements for flood zone and wetlands applications
Submission deadline is Nov. 13. Submit 300-word abstracts at dfi-events.org/helical25.
