30 days of ideas you can steal for your company’s LinkedIn page

Having a social media presence is important for modern businesses. Consistently posting builds your brand recognition, highlights your capabilities and puts your company in front of potential employees and future clients.

If you’re new to social media, LinkedIn is an excellent place to start. Once you establish your personal profile, start a company page that lets people “follow” you. You manage your company’s posts and engagement from your own LinkedIn account without needing to log in and out of different accounts, and you can set multiple people at your company as “admins.”

If you’re wondering how to create graphics and videos or easily add your logo to photos, we recommend a subscription to a design service like Canva. A Canva Pro subscription is an affordable option that gives you access to premium content and features. You can connect your LinkedIn page directly to the Content Planner in Canva and schedule your posts directly from Canva’s platform or connect your Canva account to a content management system like Loomly to schedule and monitor your posts from there.

Once your posts go live on LinkedIn, we suggest “tagging” relevant people or companies, which will help organically boost your visibility. Don’t forget to include some hashtags to amplify your reach – keep a document with your standard hashtags so you can copy-paste them into your post captions. Try hashtags like #deepfoundations, #piledriving, #heavyconstruction, #canadianconstruction along with any others that are specific to your business or the topic of your post.

And now the hard part – coming up with ideas about what to post. You want creative content that educates, informs, entertains or otherwise engages your target audience and that benefits your brand.

Show a video timelapse of the construction progress for a project.

List some of the tools

List some of the tools that your project managers, office staff, field staff, etc. use every day to be safe and productive.

Share what types of PPE your field staff likes best – gloves, hard hats, etc.
