Expanding horizons

HPM in Canada

Canada presents an exciting new frontier for HPM. The country’s robust construction industry, coupled with its challenging geographical conditions, makes it an ideal market for HPM’s versatile and durable drilling rigs. Canadian contractors often face challenging deep foundation projects in tough soil conditions, such as permafrost and rocky terrain. HPM’s machines, with their great torque rotary and advanced drilling technologies, are well-suited to handle these demanding applications.

Moreover, Canada’s commitment to sustainable development aligns with HPM’s focus on environmentally friendly solutions. HPM is excited about the possibility of introducing its products to the Canadian market and contributing to the development of the country’s buildings and infrastructure.

HPM in the U.S.

HPM drilling rigs are becoming some of the most requested equipment for confined-space drilling. Their compact dimensions, featuring low profiles and low weight, allow for easy operation in tight access spaces and low-headroom conditions. Additionally, the high-torque rotary is designed to deliver exceptional drilling power to the tool. This combination of hydraulic power and compactness has made HPM rigs the best choice for various projects, from residential and commercial building construction to infrastructure maintenance. The ability to operate efficiently and safely in challenging conditions, such as near powerlines or under existing structures, has revolutionized operations on many jobsites.

HPM in Japan

In Japan, where precision is a cultural imperative, HPM has developed specialized machines for extracting existing concrete piles, an operation that requires the utmost care and delicacy. Equipped with advanced control systems and highly accurate measurement tools, these machines have set new industry standards.

The HPM rigs working in Japan have been designed with higher torque and great crowd force, these machines are used to remove concrete piles from the ground and build new foundations for new buildings.

HPM in Australia

Australia, with its huge area and diversity of soil conditions, represents a continuously evolving market. Anticipating the needs of this market, HPM has invested in research and development to create targeted solutions capable of adapting in different types of terrain and soil. In particular, the major requests are for the HPM 90 and HPM 200 models equipped with the Winch Crowd System. These models are distinguished for their deep drilling capabilities, which are essential for infrastructure development and long casing installation.

The HPM 90, mounted on a CAT 313, features a compact geometry and a parallelogram system that facilitates its configuration and transport. The HPM 200, mounted on the CAT 330 NGH base and equipped with a CAT C7.1 engine, delivers an effecting rotary torque of 250 kilonewton metres (kNm). Both machines comply with the latest emission standards, ensuring a low environmental impact.

Introducing the B55

HPM has introduced the B55: the new frontier in long-reach drilling. Compact and powerful, the B55 pushes the boundaries of traditional drilling, providing unprecedented access to challenging areas. With its extendable boom and reduced dimensions, the B55 is the ideal tool for operation in confined spaces and on rough terrain. Perfect for utilities and infrastructure work, the B55 is poised to revolutionize the construction industry.

Flexible drilling rig

The HPM B55 is a versatile and powerful drilling rig available in two configurations to meet a wide range of operational needs: B55 Long and B55 Short. Both are built on a reliable Cat® 317 base, ensuring stability and durability. This construction choice provides an effective rotary torque of 76 kNm/55,000 foot-pounds (ft-lb), ideal for tackling hard and compact soils.

The B55 Long, with a drilling depth of 19 metres (m)/62.33 feet (ft) (standard) and a drilling diameter of 2,750 millimetres (mm)/nine ft, is designed for deep foundations with difficult access.

The B55 Short, while maintaining the same features in terms of drilling diameter and rotary torque, reaches a drilling depth of 8.5 m/27.88 ft (standard), while having the mast lower than 16 ft, with an operating weight (24.5 tonnes/54,013.25 pounds). This configuration provides agility and manoeuvrability, making it perfect for work in confined spaces, such as foundations inside buildings, under infrastructure or where a limited access machine is required.

Both machines are designed to simplify the operator’s work and increase productivity. Thanks to an intuitive control system, equipped with drilling cruise control and self-rig-up functions, the machine can be operated precisely and safely, even in special conditions. Automatic functions are other features that greatly simplify work, ensuring perfect alignment of the drilling tool.

Flexibility is another strength as the ability to easily convert the standard version into the short version (and vice versa) allows the user to adapt the rig to any site requirement, without sacrificing power or performance.

Looking to the future

As HPM continues to expand its global footprint, the company remains steadfast in its commitment to delivering innovative, reliable and safe drilling solutions. With a focus on precision engineering and adaptability, HPM machines are redefining the standards of the industry. From the rugged terrain of Australia to the bustling cities of the U.S. and Japan, HPM’s versatile drilling rigs are making significant impacts on construction projects worldwide.

HPM’s dedication to innovation and quality has solidified its position as a trusted partner in the construction industry. With its ongoing development of new solutions and expanding reach, HPM is well-positioned to shape the future of drilling technology.
