In December of last year, Hoesch Spundwand Und Proϐil (HSP), of the Salzgitter
International Group, closed its doors after more than 100 years of sheet pile production.
Their rich history and industry contributions helped advance piling technology in many
global markets.
Since 2011, JD Fields served as the exclusive partner for the Hoesch & Peine mills in North
America, Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean. In addition to the Larssen Z series, Fields
passionately marketed the recently discontinued PSp high modulus wall system.
This complement of 700-mm hot rolled sheeting and combi-wall king pile solutions proved
to be a welcomed option in a once seemingly proprietary market.
With our partner mill support, JD Fields Construction Products built an aggressive value
engineered strategy with a market vision to raise material grade standards while providing
competitive, high quality pile products. After four short years and more than 250,000 tons,
designers, contractors and their clients continue to beneϐit from our high strength, light-
weight steel solutions. We will miss our German partners, and although Salzgitter has
decided to exit the piling business, JD Fields is positioned to raise the piling standard once
