New era for steel pipe cutting
A world first, a fully self-contained mobile plasma cutter
excavator attachment has been produced, which brings sig-nificant
benefits to the industry. The MotoCut pile cutter
cuts concrete piles and now also steel piles and pipes quickly,
safely, easily and without compromising on quality. These
pile cutters can be installed onto an excavator, so it is pos-sible
to use the plasma cutter as a mobile version and has the
benefit of being able to remove the waste while working. The
MotoCut can be operated solely by the excavator driver, no
additional labour is required.
Technical specs:
• For 166 to 406 mm steel pipes (6.5 to 16 inches)
• Can cut wall thickness currently up to 25 mm (1 inch)
• Cut off length between 260 to 3,000 mm (10 to 10 inches)
MotoCut introduces plasma cutting attachment
for excavators to mechanize pile cutting
Although piling has been mechanized, the piles are often cut
manually. The MotoCut Plasma Cutter is a fully automated
cutter. It is self-contained and runs off of any 13-20tn hydrau-lic
excavator with a hammer line and tiltrotator. In addition,
the cutting process is fully computer controlled, which
means that the productivity and quality of the cut is much
higher compared to standard cutting methods. The MotoCut
can turn this usually slow and labour-intensive process into
a simple task. Benefits include:
• Saves money
• Incredibly low running costs
• Only the fuel of the excavator needed
• No expensive gases, blades or diamond wire
• Significantly lower labour costs, less manpower needed
• Excellent quality of the cut. Off-cuts can be easily
welded together
• Improved safety for operator as the operator is placed in
the excavator
• Productivity of over 150 piles/day
• Reduced dB noise pollution
• Uses only compressed air – no expensive
combustible gases
