Commissioning of the
KLEMM KR 806-4GM
KLEMM KR 806-4GM – First
European assignment
With the purchase of its new anchor
drilling rig, Tecimasa S.L.U., a Spanish
Viuda de Sainz Group company and
long standing customer of Klemm
Bohrtechnik GmbH, again relied
on state-of-the-art technology from
Klemm. In August, a KR 806-4GM was
commissioned in co-operation with
Klemm’s partner KMMB Demolición
y Perforación (Madrid), and the first
assignment took place at a construction
site in the outskirts of the Basque
industrial and port city of Bilbao.
For the construction of a new building
with an underground parking lot,
anchor holes with a casing diameter of
152 mm and reaching depths of nine to
12 metres were drilled in temperatures
over 40°C. The drilling rig, equipped
with a manipulator and a revolving
magazine (MAG 6.1), drilled the rods
with a down-the-hole hammer.
Since its launch at CON/EXPO in
Las Vegas, Nev., earlier this year, multiple
KR 806-4GM drilling rigs have
excelled on various construction projects
around the U.S. This is the first
assignment for the KR 806-4GM in the
European market.

Piling Equipment Ltd. Recently, the

is easy to understand why the Cobra
range is quickly becoming a compact
piling rig of choice.
The Cobra concept is simple: a

increased lifting capacity and all-round
ease of operation, the Cobra range satisfies
the changing needs of consumers
and provides a fresh aesthetic to the
mini-piling industry.
Initially, the Cobra range was
blueprinted by Piling Equipment
Ltd. Once the core design was determined,
the company combined forces
with German manufacturer Adler
Arbeitsmaschinen. Using Adler’s
unprecedented engineering and manufacturing
skills, the Cobra series was
