The light has been engineered to work in tough conditions.
It keeps out dirt, dust and water, and can be used in
snow or rain. Testing has included dropping the unit from
several storeys onto cement and driving over it.
The new Halo is powered by a single, on-board 18650
lithium-ion rechargeable battery that lasts at least 5.5 hours
in any mode. For people working longer shifts in low-light
environments, the battery is easy to replace.
While the Halo is new to the market, its predecessor,
the Halo Light, has won 17 awards, including the
Construction Innovation Forum NOVA Award and the firstplace
Innovation Award in 2015 from the American Traffic
and Safety Services Association. It has been endorsed by
the American Association of Safety Councils, and is now
